Most of us can admit that cleaning isn't something we jump for joy to do. I want to talk about some ways to help make cleaning a little easier. Now you might think what makes her an expert on cleaning, well I will tell you. I am not an expert but I have cleaning professionally for multiple companies and independently. I also know the daunting task of cleaning my own home with three boys running around. Now, let's get started. My first piece advice is make cleaning a family affair! Give those children some chores. Now there are different chores that can be done according to their ages. This will help you in the cleaning process and teach the children what it means to be part of a team, because cleaning your home with so many people will defiantly require team work. Yes, getting the children to help and do it correctly will require a little more work on your part in the beginning, but will produce great benefits as they grow. I wouldn't rush and grab all the kids at once. I would first make a chart of things you believe they are capable of doing. Then work with each child by themselves doing so will lead to you having the child's full attention. It will also give you a little quality time with that child as you begin to teach them on the joy's of keeping a clean home. Lol, ok maybe not joy but for sure you will be helping them to be more aware of the messes they make simply by showing them what it takes to clean it. I would take a couple of days show them what you expect and how to do it. They may want to change it up a little and do it their way which is fine too, that means they are owning that chore. After you feel confident with the first child on to the next. One thing I did do with my boy's was to set a cleaning time, which was usually after super in my house. Doing at a certain time and promoting the team work stance, it made it easier on everyone as it was a daunting task we were all in together. Now, if one person finished their chores first, I wouldn't make them do anyone else's but I would remind them that we are part of a team and I would suggest that they help someone else out. If they did help out as a reward I would put a dollar into the fun jar. The fun jar was just a mayo jar that I clean out and would put money in whenever the children showed great team work are just random acts of kindness and at the end of each month we would count up the money and go out as a family doing something fun. Well that's my tip for today. Have a great day!
