How as Parents we can help our children gain more interest in learning and preforming their best. Here are some helpful easy tips.
Listen to their experience and establish a good routine, take out some time each day to listen about the things your child is learning.
Get to know your child teachers, if you have any questions or concerns set up a meeting.
Provide an accurate number and email where you can be reached.
Help your child with organization have them go through their book bags in front of you so you both can determine how they should set up their homework time.
Set up a routine home-work time, many child fall behind, by not turning in their home work.
If your child says they don't have home-work that is a great opportunity form them to get in some reading time.
Cut back on TV, internet, cell phones, times, instead have your child read or practice spelling.
Establish a routine bed time so your child can be well rested for a full day of learning.
Have a talk with your child about what your expectations are for the school year and have them express what their expectations are, share on some ideas how they can achieve those expectations.
