I get it not just as a teacher, a parent and as grandparents, we want our children to learn while having fun.

Learning patterns I believe, opens door's to solving problems, counting skills, learning certain behaviors', and strengthen critical thinking skills. Patterns are everywhere , its a skill that could be developed in a fun way. You could take some things you have laying around the house, place them in a pattern. Apple, banana, banana, apple, simple "Yes", but before you know it your child will be recognizing patterns everywhere.
