Learning Patterns

Learning Patterns is a great start into the world of Math. I get it not just as a teacher, a parent and as grandparents, we want our children to learn while having fun. National Center of Quality Teaching and Learning says, "Patterns serve as the cornerstone of algebraic thinking." Learning patterns I believe, opens door's to solving problems, counting skills, learning certain behaviors', and strengthen critical thinking skills. Patterns are everywhere , its a skill that could be developed in a fun way. You could take some things you have laying around the house, place them in a pattern. Apple, banana, banana, apple, simple "Yes", but before you know it your child will be recognizing patterns everywhere.
